Album of the month (February 1999)

Five Iron Frenzy - Quantity is job 1
(5 minute walk, 1998)

What to say? It's the coolest album I ever heard, great music, a lot of fun and nevertheless a serious message never got lost. FIF showed on this album that they can bring SKA to a next level: they mix the SKA-rythm and the horns together with punk, swing and other styles, and it just sounds great. Especially to mention:
Dandelions: a catchy tune like Every new day on the last record.
My evil plan to save the world: a fast skacore song
Sweet talking woman: a cover of an old ELO-song
Get your riot gear: The first swingcore song
Those are not my pants - the rock opera (hidden track): They took a stupid little song and played it in a lot of different musicstyles (Highlights: Metal, Reggae, Hiphop), for sure everything else than serious...
